This sextet, with three members of the Chico Hamilton Quintet, presents a program of slightly eclectic music, for the most part arranged by Buddy Collette. In part reminiscent of the first release by the Chico Hamilton Quintet on Pacific Jazz, there are enough straight ahead tunes to equally than satisfy more mainstream and conventional tastes. Very well recorded, with fine performances by all.
