Art Monroe from Bardstown, KY, second cousin to Bill Monroe, was one of Washington D.C.'s most accomplished jazz pianists. This album, recorded shortly before his death at the young age of 48, was Art Monroe's third release. As good a pianist as Art was, he was an even better composer.
